Window screens improve comfort. They let you open your windows to let fresh air into your home, while keeping pesky bugs and insects from entering. 

Window screens may be made of metal wire, fiberglass wire, or synthetic fiber mesh and are stretched in a frame of wood or metal and placed over a window opening. Their primary purpose is to prevent bugs, birds, other animals, and air-borne debris from entering your home, while permitting fresh air flow.
