Iowa (IA) Energy & Efficient Window Performance Cash Rebates & Incentives. Cash rebates and incentives available to Iowa homeowners who upgrade to energy efficient windows. 

This article discusses the cash rebates and incentives (including loans) available to homeowners in the state of Iowa for upgrading to energy efficient windows. Some programs listed aim to improve home energy performance in general; others explicitly focus on efficient window performance. They may be offered by your state, your local energy supply company or the two working together. They can help you pay for the costs of upgrading or replacing the windows in your home.

Iowa State Incentive and Rebate Programs:

At this time, there are no energy efficient window incentive programs offered by the state of Iowa.

Iowa Utility Company Sponsored Incentives and Rebate Programs:

  • Alliant Energy Incentive/Rebate Program - Residential Rebates and Incentive Program: Offers homeowners rebate incentives when you install ENERGY STAR replacement windows. The program provides rebate amounts of $25 per window with a minimum window size requirement of eight square feet.
  • Alliant Energy Incentive/Rebate Program - New Home Construction Incentives: Provides homeowners of newly constructed homes with rebates ranging from $500 to $1,750 to help cover the costs of installing ENERGY STAR windows. The total area of the window space must be less than 18 percent of the conditioned floor area of home.
  • Black Hills Energy Incentive/Rebate Program - Residential Commercial Rebate Program: Offers homeowners and businesses rebates which range from $1,500 to $5,000 to help cover the costs of installing ENERGY STAR windows.
  • Muscatine Power and Water Incentive/Rebate Program - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebates: Provides homeowners with a rebate amount of $25 for every replacement ENERGY STAR window installed in the home.
