New York (NY) Energy & Efficient Window Performance Cash Rebates & Incentives. Cash rebates and incentives available to New York homeowners who upgrade to energy efficient windows.

 This article discusses the cash rebates and incentives (including loans) available to homeowners in the state of New York for upgrading to energy efficient windows. Some programs listed aim to improve home energy performance in general; others explicitly focus on efficient window performance. They may be offered by your state, your local energy supply company or the two working together. They can help you pay for the costs of upgrading or replacing the windows in your home.

New York State Incentive and Rebate Programs:

At this time, there are no energy efficient window incentive programs offered by the state of New York.

New York Utility Company Sponsored Incentives and Rebate Programs:

  • National Grid Incentive/Rebate Program: Offers numerous incentives and special deals to support energy efficiency upgrades for home owners, rental properties and businesses.
  • New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Incentive/Rebate Program - Green Jobs – Green New York Financing: Provides low-interest loans of up to $13,000 to homeowners who participate in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program.
  • New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Incentive/Rebate Program - $mart SM Loan Fund Program: Offers homeowners low-interest loans of up to $20,000 to cover the costs covering qualifying energy-efficiency projects.
  • New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Incentive/Rebate Program - Homeowner Financing Incentive Program: Offers homeowners refunds of 10 percent of the cost of qualifying energy-efficiency improvements. Maximum refund amount available through this program is $3,000.
  • New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Incentive/Rebate Program - Grants for Public and non-profit Energy Conservation Projects: Provides grants to cover 100 percent of the costs --up to $1 million-- for qualifying public and non-profit projects that cost less than $900 for every 10 million BTU’s which are saved annually.
