Glazed or double glazed windows are energy efficient windows consisting of two panes of glass instead of just one. The panes have a seal between them that creates an additional layer of insulation. The space between the panes may be filled with air or gas. The added insulation keeps heat in during winter and out during summer, which cuts energy transfer by half. Glazed windows also reduce noise.
